We currently offer a variety of deeply introspective breathwork classes. Find one that calls to you and start changing your life today.

Group breathwork classes are an incredibly helpful and affordable way to build a healthy habit of breathwork. At Sanctuary with Char, our core beliefs are:

  • Find where you're comfortable

Group classes have the ability to help you feel more comfortable and less like 'all eyes are on you' which you may feel in a private 1:1 session. We've also found that coming together with likeminded individuals for our own self healing has the ability to be incredibly powerful and rewarding! Do you ever go out to the bar or to hang out with a group of friends and find yourself tired and exhausted by the surface level conversations? Us too.

Our Offerings

Guided Somatic Breathwork

Having a tough week? Looking for a way to let go of stress and emotions? Our Somatic Breathwork group session is the perfect solution for those seeking to release pent-up stress and emotions while reconnecting with their true selves. Breathwork has been shown to be effective in managing anxiety and stress, as well as regulating your nervous system.

Somatic Breathwork helps reconnect the body with the mind by expressing suppressed emotions so we can call in how we want to feel. We provide a safe space where all forms of expression are welcome, including laughing, crying, yelling, and movement. Our goal is to help you connect with others and embrace your true self. The session includes music from a variety of artists and guided questions to help you dive deep and reflect. Leave all your stress on the mat and see what you'll discover.

$38 / session

90 minutes, In-person

Important Notes

What to Bring

  • your yoga mat​ (we have extras too)

  • a water bottle (no open containers such as Yeti cups, bottles only please!)

  • a sleep mask -- not required, but recommended if you're sensitive to light or struggle to keep focus during closed-eye activities like meditation. 

  • a light blanket -- not required, but recommended if you get cold easily, we run air conditioning and ceiling fans when it's hot

  • a small pillow -- not required, but highly recommended if you have chronic back pain or issues with your back. Ideally we'd like you to be flat and not use a pillow, but at the end of the day we want you to be comfortable.

  • chapstick -- also not required but recommended, you'll thank me later

This Work Is Not For...

A Somatic Breathwork Journey may NOT be a good fit for you if:

  • you are pregnant

OR you have a history of:

  • Cardiovascular problems

  • Heart attacks / Stroke

  • Glaucoma

  • Retinal detachment

  • Osteoporosis

  • Aneurysms

  • Epilepsy or seizures

  • Recent surgery or athletic injury

  • Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or another severe psychiatric condition requiring antipsychotic medications

OR you are a minor under the age of 18

We do NOT recommend intense stress relief breathwork for any child or teen who has not finished puberty. We adhere to this policy as a safety precaution for children and teens who are still building their sense of self and dealing with the unpredictable bodily changes of hormones. The intense releases that can occur from breathwork can be challenging to process, and we don't want to cause more harm than good to any underage individual. We are more than happy to support the parents of the minor in their breathwork journey so that the child has a stable nervous system to co-regulate with. Thank you for your understanding regarding this policy.
